Romanian agricultural land has great diversity. Along with large available surfaces for aquisition at prices much lower than surrounding EU countries, farmland is currently the VIP real estate investment in Romania, attracting investors of all types.
Soil quality and diversity result from Romania's unique geological features (mountains & major rivers) and from the country's mild weather conditions. Irrigation water is abundantly available everywhere in one form or another (rivers, lakes, wells, etc). Out of the 23.8 million hectares of the Romanian territory, 28% is covered by forest and 60% is agricultural land. The country's total agricultural surface is 14,7 million hectares, out of which 9,3 million hectares are arable.

Annual tax on rural land (forests and farmland) is approximately 10 € /ha. (2008)

Notary Fees + Taxes = 1% to 2% of the transaction amount (variable according to amount).

Anyone can buy agricultural land - there are no special permits or requirements to become an agricultural land owner. You simply need to form a Romanian company and declare "agriculture" as it's object of activity. Neighbors do not have any right of preemption.

Considering all of the factors mentioned above, it is not difficult to see why so many European farmers (large & small) are buying farmland in Romania, the maths is simple and the numbers do not lie.

Offers
We are capable to assure land acquisitions from 1ha to 10.000ha.

Smaller purchases can be more or less immediate, while larger purchases can either be arranged in one quick transaction (dependent on availability) or more cheaply by buying up smaller units of land over a period of around 1 year and consolidating this land.

The price depends also of the land dimension, that’s why the price of the land and the afferent costs differs significantly, although the land prices are between 1900E/ha up to 4000E/ha plus legal and other costs.

You can see some examples of our offers by clicking on the link below:

Small surfaces are more expensive due to the accompanying costs, large surfaces already compacted are more expensive due to the work undertaken, large surfaces that are put together by us from smaller surfaces are less expensive
